$25.00 Gift Certificate Giveaway - and Published in Altered Arts Magazine!

It's so hard to believe today is the last day of November.  It's been such a whirlwind of a year for me between beginning college this past spring (for the first time ever), remodeling my craft studio, working on orders for my jewelry customers and the like.

I have the best customers and blog/Facebook followers.  I really do.  I have met some of the nicest people through my jewelry projects and want to say "thanks" by having a giveaway - just in time for Christmas.

I will be giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to my Etsy shop, Two Crafty Mules.  The gift certificate may be used for any ready-made item in the shop.  It may not be used on custom orders.   You can enter the giveaway by leaving a comment on this blog post, and/or by leaving a comment on the Two Crafty Mules Facebook page under the giveaway post.  Leave one comment on each site, and you will have TWO chances to win!  The deadline to leave comments is Sunday, December 15 at 11:59 p.m.  One lucky winner will be selected on Monday, December 16.  Just in time to shop for Christmas!  WOOT!  Please spread the word - tell your friends, post the giveaway on Pinterest, etc.  An additional prize will be added if we reach comments from 200 people, with additional prizes added for each 100 comments thereafter!  How awesome is that?

So - what are you waiting for?  Let the commenting begin!  :)  Good luck, everyone!

P.S.  While we are talking about freebies - who doesn't love a freebie, especially at this time of year?  One of my Christmas art doll projects is currently featured in the Altered Arts Bonus Christmas 2013 project issue.  The magazine is available for purchase - and - for a limited time only - available for FREE digital download.  Be sure to check it out and get some free Christmas project inspiration while you are at it.

5x5 Works in Progress for Upcoming Exhibition

A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from the Arts Center of the Ozarks letting me know that it is time to start working on artwork for their upcoming 5x5 Annual Art Exhibition.  My husband and I participated in the event last year and had such a wonderful time, we knew when the opportunity arose again this year, there would be no hesitation.

I started working on my creations yesterday featuring my favorite art subject - The Virgin Mary.  Here are the preliminary sketches on canvas:

I also began painting yesterday.  I will have to let these rest for several days.  I added molding paste to some of the paint to give texture to the pictures.  Once dried, I can add the highlights and finishing touches to my mini portraits.

I'll be sure to share the finished items with you upon completion.  Until then...have a great weekend!

Halloween Mixed Media Block Doll Giveaway

I don't know about you, but I can't believe we are already into the month of October. I'm not complaining, though. I absolutely LOVE the fall season - it's my favorite time of year. The cool and comfortable weather plus the changing of the leaves....It doesn't get any better than this.

To celebrate the changing of the seasons, I'm giving away TWO mixed media block dolls to TWO lucky winners. I made both dolls out of vintage images, wood, paper, colored chalk and fabric. To win, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post. Please make sure that I will be able to contact you if you win. Two winners will be selected on October 16 using a random number generator.

Best of luck to all!

Awesome News to Share - Finally!!! (And A Giveaway to Celebrate!!!)

After being sworn to secrecy for the past couple of weeks, I can finally reveal some really exciting news...

I am now the OFFICIAL PRILOSEC OTC ECO-CHIC JEWELRY ARTIST!!!

You can find my page on the Prilosec OTC site here.

I'm so appreciative of this opportunity and want to thank Prilosec OTC and all of the wonderful people who voted for me in this challenge.  I appreciate all of the sweet comments left on my page and all of the words of support and encouragement.  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

With the money received from this sponsorship, I'm planning to reorganize my craft studio with more shelving, book cases and the like to help me get better organized.  I'm a huge collector of all kinds of fabric and arts and crafts supplies, and this will enable me to get many of these items out of boxes and out where I can have easy access to them.  By doing this, I hope to create some new projects and tutorials that I can share here on my blog.

Thanks a bunch to everyone!!!

And to celebrate, I'm giving away the Eco-Chic necklace below:

This one-of-a-kind necklace was created using a vintage enamel brooch and earrings from the 60's that I disassembled and upcycled into a necklace.  Vintage powder blue enamel chain, complementary beads and filigree complete the look.  To enter, just leave a comment under this blog post only. (Important:  Please make sure I will be able to get in contact with you if you are selected the winner.)  On Saturday, September 3, a winner will be selected utilizing a random number generator.  Good luck to everyone!

And...let's not stop there.  From now through the entire month of September, I am offering a 20% discount towards all purchases made in either of my Etsy stores - Two Crafty Mules and RetroEclectica.  Just be sure to enter code "ECOCHIC" at checkout to get your discount.
